As the Chairman of both Capital Investments and Capital Bank of Jordan, H.E. Bassem Al-Salem employs his extensive experience and expertise to intelligently and adeptly help guide the growth and sustainability of the company. Mr. Al-Salem formerly served as Jordan’s Minister of Finance and Minister of Labor and, prior to that, served as Chairman of the Executive Committee for the King Hussein Bin Talal Territory Project, overseeing the National Committee as well as the Development & Employee Fund. He has held numerous other chair and board member positions for various private companies, including the Public Mining Company, SUAERESSIG Jordan, and the Jordan New Cables Company.

Mr. Al-Salem holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Imperial College London (UK)..

Since 2024, Tamer Ghazaleh has served as Chief Executive Officer at Capital Bank, a role in which he leads the development and execution of the bank's strategic vision and operational initiatives. He is responsible for driving sustainable growth, fostering innovation, and ensuring the delivery of superior financial services across all markets.

On March 5, 2026, he was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of Capital Investment, a subsidiary of Capital Bank Group.

Throughout his career which spanned over 26 years, Ghazaleh has held key positions at leading financial institutions in the banking sector. Prior to his current role, he served as Deputy CEO of Bank Audi Group from 2020 to 2024, where he played a pivotal role in financial strategy development and participated in crucial decision-making as a member of key committees, including the Group Investments Committee and IT Strategic Committee. Before that, he was the Group CFO from 2015 to 2020 and previously served as Deputy CFO of the group. Throughout his career, he has focused on enhancing financial oversight, managing risks, and ensuring policy compliance.

Ghazaleh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Jordan and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

In addition to serving as the Vice Chairman of Capital Investments, H.E. Marwan Juma is also the Vice Chairman of the King Abdullah Fund for Development and Oasis 500, and is also the current Chairman of Urdon Shop and served as the Chairman for two leading tech companies: Kinz and Dot.jo. Previously, Mr. Juma served as Jordan’s Minister of Information and Communication Technology. He is an active member of numerous boards, including for DAI Global (Maryland, USA), Princess Sumaya University for Science and Technology, the King Abdullah Center for Excellence, and the Jordan Education Initiative.

Mr. Juma holds a master’s degree in management and a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from North Carolina State University (USA).

Education: Mr. Al-Aloul holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Michigan University

Experience: Mr. Al-Aloul has nearly 24 years of experience in the banking sector. He worked at several banks, including CitiBank and Standard Chartered, until he joined Bank Audi, where he was deputy general manager. After Bank Audi’s merger with Capital Bank, Mr. Al-Aloul assumed the post of Group Chief Banking Officer. Following this, he was appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer for Capital Bank.

Adey Salamin is the founder of iMENA Group — a company operating online and mobile businesses for consumers and enterprises in MENA markets — and cofounder & CEO of OpenSooq.com — a leading online marketplace platform in the MENA region for selling, buying or advertising goods and services. He has led strategic advisory projects for MENA companies’ technology commercialization, market entry, deal sourcing and structuring in Jordan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Libya. In previous years, Mr. Salamin worked as VP and a member of the investment team at the Abraaj Group and also worked for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers LP in New York and New Jersey.

Over the course of his career, he has served as a judge and mentor for the MIT Arab Student Organization, the MENA 100 Business Plan with OECD, the MSFT Imagine Cup and the Wharton Arab Business Plan competition. Mr. Salamin holds a Finance and Accounting Certificate from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Engineering.

Tareq joined Hikma Pharmaceuticals in 2008 as a Sales and Marketing Associate. Since then he has held several roles of increasing responsibility within the Group. In 2010, Tareq joined West-Ward, the US subsidiary of Hikma, where he started as a Special Projects Manager moving on to National Accounts Manager, where he worked with hospital segment and finally became the Senior Sales Manager, where he managed national and international sales accounts for West-Ward Pharmaceuticals. Following that Tareq moved back to Jordan with Hikma Pharmaceuticals to establish the Hospital business segment presence in the region where he led a dynamic multidisciplinary team of Sales and Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain with the responsibility of driving the business for Injectables, oncology, specialized and tender’s business segments for Hikma and West-Ward Pharmaceuticals. Among his most significant achievements during that time was his instrumental role in the successful launch of Hikma Specialized in Egypt.

In this current role Tareq is the Vice President of the Hikma Group Hospital Business for the MENA region where he holds the accountability for the P and L as well as the mandate of leading the strategic development of the business and setting the growth and development strategy. Tareq serves as the Vice President for the Jordanian Association of Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers and he is a member of the Young President Organization (Jordan Chapter). Tareq holds a B.S. in International Business and Marketing with a minor in advertising from Marquette University; and a master’s in public policy with a concentration in Finance and Healthcare, from the Harris School of Public Policy of the University of Chicago.

Professional Experience:

Al-Husry is the founder of Capital Bank and served as its chairman and chief executive officer from its establishment in 1995 to 2007. During his tenure at the bank, he is recognized for pioneering the launch of investment banking activities in Jordan.

Al-Husry currently serves as non-executive director for Hikma Pharmaceuticals.

He is also sits on the board of the MicroFund for Women.

Al-Husry holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Southern California / Los Angeles and an MBA from INSEAD Business School in France.

Bashar Al Amad joined Capital Investments in 2016. He has over 31 years of experience in investment, Brokerage, Private Equity and Asset Management across a number of regional and international markets.

Prior to joining Capital Investments, Mr. Amad was the Deputy CEO at United Financial Investments. He also previously served as the Vice President at Jordan Dubai Capital, a private investment company with over USD 1.5 billion in assets under management. He also headed the capital markets departments at several prominent local investment companies, including Amwal Invest, Jordinvest and Capital Bank of Jordan. Mr. Amad is served as a board member on various prominent Jordanian companies including Banks, Insurance Companies, real estate developers among others. 

Mr. Amad holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and management information systems from McGill University (Canada). He is also a CFA charterholder

Mohamed Salaymeh joined Capital Investments in 2005 and currently serves as the company’s Head of International Brokerage. Prior to joining the company, he served as Manager of International Securities Sales at the Housing Bank for Trade and Finance.

Mr. Salaymeh holds an MBA from the University of Jordan’s Institute of Banking Studies and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the American University in Cairo. He is also a certified Asset Manager, Portfolio Manager, and Master Financial Professional.

Khaldon Alzoubi joined Capital Investments in September 2005, and currently heads the company’s Local Brokerage department. Prior to joining, he worked as a Broker at Al Tanmiah Industrial and Commercial Investment Company.

Mr. Alzoubi holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Irbid National University (Jordan). He is a certified Financial Broker, licensed by the Institute of Banking and Financial Studies in cooperation with the Jordan Securities Commission, as well as a certified Investment Manager, licensed by the Jordan Securities Commission.
